Steve Mercer
Steve Mercer will be racing in the National Superstock 1000 in 2009 for the PDM Racing team as well as taking part in the road racing championship.
The 27-year-old from Maidstone in Kent is making his debut in the Isle of Man TT at the end of May and said in an interview,
“The TT was not in my career plans until recently but the more I’ve thought about it the more I want to do it.”
Steve is also taking part in the North West 200 and the Southern 100 this season, so it looks like it’s going to be a busy year for the motorbike mechanic.
This weekend Steve is raising money for charity by running the 10K race for Leukaemia Research at Brands Hatch and needs your support.
In his second attempt at the fund raiser he is hoping to smash his running time from last year, for which he did no training and also to beat his 2008 sponsor target.
