Lance Armstrong has crashed out of the Spanish Vuelta Castilla y Leon cycle race with a suspected collar bone fracture after being caught up an incident involving several riders with just 20km of the race to complete.
The American appeared in pain as he was taken by ambulance to nearby Valladolid and the University Clinic.
Spanish rider Joaquin Sobrino took the race honours for his team Burgos Monumental.
