Andy Murray turned on another impressive display in the Aegon Championships at Queen’s, defeating American James Blake in two sets, to win his first grass court title.
The British number one has played some fantastic tennis all week at Queen’s and despite a spirited fight from Blake, Murray finished theĀ match off in just one hour and eight minutes, becoming the first British player since Bunny Austin in 1938, to win the championship.
An impressive week for the young Scot who has not lost a set all week at Queen’s and has only dropped serve twice on his way to the title. Murray says he is playing the best tennis of his life and hopes that his great form will continue into Wimbledon. He says “If I play my best like I have this week I’ve got a chance, but two of the greatest players of all time are going to be there and it will be tough to get past them.”
