Dwain Chambers has been selected for the Great Britain team for the European Teams championships in Leira in Portugal on the 20/21 June.
Chambers earned his call up following his win in the international meeting at Montreuil on Thursday night. Chambers heads up a strong Great Britain team with Christine Ohuruogu, the 400m Olympic champion running in the 200m and triple jump silver medallist Phillips Idowu also among the team.
Chambers heads the European rankings this year with his time of 10.06 for the 100m. He will undoubtedly be happy to be back representing Great Britain following a ban from the sport that lasted two years after he was tested positive for the designer steroid THG.
Chambers said; “I have officially been selected and I am looking forward to competing with and being amongst my fellow team mates.”
