Andy Murray settled the nerves with an impressive first round win at Wimbledon, beating the Czech Republic’s Jan Hajek 7-5, 6-1, 6-2.
The 23 year old Scot showed some encouraging signs on court one, given his recent lack of conviction on the court, hitting 17 aces and 56 winning shots in the sweltering conditions at Wimbledon.

Comeback Queen Clijsters returns to Wimbledon with impressive start

Former World number one Kim Clijsters, who returned to tennis last year after a two year break, was welcomed back to Wimbledon today for her first match here since 2006.
The Belgian made short work of first round opponent Maria Elena Camerin from Italy. Dropping just three games throughout, Clijsters demolished her opponent 6-0, 6-3.
