andy murray new adidas deal

Britain’s Andy Murray does at least appear to have made a bit more of an effort with his appearance over the last year, there were times when the immaculately attired Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal made Murray look as though he had forgotten to bring his kit and had to make do with stuff from the lost property basket.

This season has seen a marked improvement in his appearance and yesterday came the news that he has signed a sponsorship deal with Adidas, from 2010, thus ending his long standing relationship with Fred Perry.

Adidas said that the 22 year old Briton ‘will sport the iconic three stripe’s from January onwards’ in a ‘long term’ deal that some reports suggest could be worth more than ten million euros.

Current world number four Murray said;

“I’m really excited to be joining Adidas as they are a massive global sports brand with a credible heritage in tennis, I’m in no doubt that this deal will help me both on and off the court.”
