Andy Murray has bounced back from his recently enforced lay-off, to set up a semi final match with World number two, Roger Federer at the India Wells tennis championship.
A tough test in the quarter final match against Croatia’s Ivan Ljubicic, ended with Murray taking the match with a slim victory 7-5, 7-6 (8-6) after the tie break. High winds hampered both players during the game making for a pretty much forgettable contest.
Murray will face Federer on Saturday in one of the semi finals and the Brit acknowledges that he will have to be at his best if he is to progress to the final of the competition. That said, Murray has won five of his last seven meetings with Federer, including the last three of their matches, in a period that has seen Federer lose his world number one ranking to Rafa Nadal, after a long period of dominating the rankings.
